The oldest “old boards, no cords” surfing event in Santa Cruz paddles back out to Pleasure Point this weekend with two days of longboard contests, paddleboard races and even, shockingly, some shortboard events for men and women.
The Big Stick Surfing Association ladles on some extra aloha at this longboard convention, with proceeds from the surfboard raffle going to local charities. All in all it’s a bunch of beachy family fun. And don’t you need a Big Stick hat to wear around town? Find the schedule here.
Pleasure Point. Saturday 7am-5pm, Sunday 7am-3pm. Free.
