CAPITOLA >> Begonia Festival volunteers were cleaning up Tuesday after a successful four-day event that brought thousands of people to Capitola Village on Labor Day weekend.

Hundreds of children created sand sculptures on a very crowded Capitola Beach on Saturday, and about 100 participated in the horseshoe tournament on Sunday. So many people came out for the Nautical Parade that even the newly opened 220-space parking lot on Capitola Avenue was totally full. Here are the 2014 winners for the fishing derby, horseshoes competition, rowboat races and sand sculptures contest.
