She Sells Seashells hosts Thursday mixer

She Sells Seashells and More will host a networking mixer for the Capitola-Soquel Chamber of Commerce, 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, inside the Capitola Mercantile, 115 San Jose Ave., in Capitola Village.

There will be tastings of locally made gourmet toffee with Marci Prolo from Goose’s Goodies, gourmet jams and mustards from Peggy Dillon’s Twins Kitchen, wine and chocolate pairings from Michael Barnes’ Pieces of Chocolate, sea salt samplings from Robert Kirkland’s Monterey Bay Salt Co., wine tasting from Burrell School Vineyards & Winery, music by the Seaside Sisters featuring Hannah Smalltree on ukulele and Catherine Lewis on recorder and raffle prizes from local vendors.

Owner Alyce Shepardson has been designing jewelry for 10 years, and is a photographer specializing in nature photos. She opened the shop to showcase gourmet artisans and local artists like Maria Aguirre, who makes cork wine jewelry. Reach the shop at 831-359-7311.
